Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan expressed happiness over the fact that the drug possession charges, in the 10-year-old case, have been dropped. Here's a look at Bollywood's notorious stars who have served time behind the bars




Fardeen was arrested in 2001 for buying cocaine from a drug dealer in Mumbai. The actor then claimed he had consumed less than a gram.






Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja was sentenced to seven years in prison for raping his maid in a case that shocked the world's largest film industry. He was arrested on charges of rape, criminal intimidation and wrongful confinement of his maid, who is now 20 years old.






Sanjay Dutt was arrested under TADA Act in 1993 for illegal possession of arms. He had to spent more than a year in jail after finding guilty. A file photo shows policemen escort the actor as he comes out of TADA court in Mumbai.







Bollywood's 'bad boy' Salman Khan was sentenced to five-years in prison for poaching an endangered gazelle. He was set free on the payment of a personal bond of 200,000 rupees and two bail bonds of 100,000 rupees.






Bollywood starlet and a companion of gangster Abu Salem, Monica Bedi was convicted in a fake passport case. Later she was aquitted for lack of evidence.






Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham too got 15 days' jail for rash driving that resulted in an accident injuring two men when his motorcycle hit a cyclist in April, 2006.





Hotelier Farhan Azmi, Ayesha Takia's husband was detained by the Dubai police in 2003 on alleged drug charges, and was later released.
